Meet the Belmont Bedside: a mango wood nightstand. It features drawer storage, woven texture and brass-tone accents. Set beside the bed, it handles the everyday jobs of a bedside table: lamp, alarm clock, reading glasses and a spot to charge your phone. If you are shopping for an affordable night stand or a solid wood nightstand, it is worth a closer look.
Material and build
This piece is built from 100% solid mango wood rather than veneer or particleboard. Mango is a dense hardwood known for strength and a lively grain, and the natural variations in colour and markings are part of its character. The woven rattan detailing adds texture and lets light pass through, giving the piece an airy, handcrafted feel. The velvet upholstery has a soft, plush feel and a gentle sheen that adds richness to the piece. Drawer storage keeps small items out of sight so the top stays clear for a lamp or decor. The woven texture adds visual depth and softens the overall look.
Durability and care
Built from solid timber rather than thin panels, it is made for regular daily use. It is intended for indoor use only. Use coasters and trivets under hot or wet items, and wipe up spills promptly. For woven areas, dust with a soft brush or vacuum with a brush attachment, and avoid soaking them. For upholstered areas, vacuum with a soft attachment and brush gently along the pile.
Where it fits in your home
Use a pair on either side of the bed for a balanced, symmetrical look in a main bedroom. In the bedroom it sits comfortably beside a single, double or queen-size bed, so you can reach a lamp or a book without getting up. In a guest room it gives visitors a place for a glass of water and a phone without crowding the space. At 18 in wide and 18.4 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.
Styles it pairs with
Boho, organic modern and eclectic interiors all suit it well. Its natural textures pair well with plants, cotton and linen, and woven baskets.
