Havana Nightstand

Meet the Havana Nightstand: a mango wood nightstand. It features drawer storage, an open shelf for quick-grab items and woven texture. A good bedside table should be useful at 11 pm and look good at 11 am, and this one is built to do both. If you are shopping for a bedside table or a solid wood nightstand, it is worth a closer look.

Material and build

Solid mango wood is a dense, hard-wearing hardwood with a distinctive grain. Because it is a natural material, every piece carries its own variations in tone, grain and small natural marks, so no two are exactly alike. The velvet upholstery has a soft, plush feel and a gentle sheen that adds richness to the piece. Pieces in this collection are handcrafted, so small differences in finish and detail are normal and part of the charm. Drawer storage keeps small items out of sight so the top stays clear for a lamp or decor. The open shelf is handy for books, baskets or anything you want within easy reach.

Durability and care

Solid wood is sturdy by nature and can be maintained or refinished over time, which is why it tends to outlast board-based furniture. It is designed for indoor use. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from heat sources to help the finish last. For upholstered areas, vacuum with a soft attachment and brush gently along the pile.

Where it fits in your home

In a guest room it gives visitors a place for a glass of water and a phone without crowding the space. In a small apartment or studio it earns its place by adding surface and storage without a large footprint. In the bedroom it sits comfortably beside a single, double or queen-size bed, so you can reach a lamp or a book without getting up. At 20 in wide and 24 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.

Styles it pairs with

Organic modern, eclectic and coastal interiors all suit it well. Its natural textures pair well with plants, cotton and linen, and woven baskets.
