Compact enough to move around and solid enough to rely on, it is a flexible addition to almost any seating area. The Oakish Marble Side Table is an affordable mango wood side table with a warm oak-toned finish. It features fluted, ribbed detailing. If you are shopping for a wood side table or a side table with shelves, it is worth a closer look.
Material and build
This piece is built from 100% solid mango wood rather than veneer or particleboard. Mango is a dense hardwood known for strength and a lively grain, and the natural variations in colour and markings are part of its character. The marble detailing adds a cool, smooth contrast to the wood, and each stone has its own veining. Fluted detailing catches the light and adds texture without adding bulk.
Durability and care
Built from solid timber rather than thin panels, it is made for regular daily use. It is intended for indoor use only. Wipe the surface with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away. On marble, wipe spills quickly and avoid acidic liquids such as citrus juice or wine, which can mark the surface.
Where it fits in your home
Next to an armchair in a reading corner it provides a surface for a book and a cup of tea. In a bedroom it can double as a bedside table or sit beside a bench or chaise. Beside a sofa in the living room it holds a drink, a lamp or the remote. At 14.4 in wide and 20.4 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.
Styles it pairs with
Art Deco-inspired, transitional and contemporary interiors all suit it well. Its stone detail pairs well with neutral palettes, brass accents and statement lighting.
