If you are short on wardrobe space, a chest like this gives you organised drawer storage without a built-in closet. The Oakish Three Drawer Chest is a mango wood chest of drawers with a warm oak-toned finish. It features 3 drawers. If you are shopping for an affordable chest of drawers or a solid wood chest of drawers, it is worth a closer look.
Material and build
The frame is solid mango wood throughout. It is a heavy, close-grained hardwood that holds a finish well, and mango is often chosen as a sustainable option because the trees are harvested after their fruit-bearing years are over. Drawer storage keeps small items out of sight so the top stays clear for a lamp or decor.
Durability and care
With normal care, solid wood furniture can last for many years, and small marks can be sanded and refinished if needed. This piece is intended for indoor use. Use coasters and trivets under hot or wet items, and wipe up spills promptly.
Where it fits in your home
In the bedroom it works as the main clothing storage for T-shirts, knitwear, pyjamas and underwear. In a hallway or entryway it can hold scarves, gloves, hats and bags, with the top serving as a landing spot for keys and mail. In a guest room or spare room it provides storage for visitors and spare bedding. At 28 in wide and 32 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.
Styles it pairs with
Transitional, modern farmhouse and Japandi interiors all suit it well. Its warm wood tone pairs easily with neutral walls, linen textiles and black or brass hardware.
