The Spindle Cushioned Entryway Bench is a seating bench crafted from 100% solid mango wood. It features turned spindle detailing. It gives you somewhere to sit and put on shoes, drop a bag or add extra seating when guests visit. If you are shopping for an end of bed bench or a bench entryway, it is worth a closer look.
Material and build
The frame is solid mango wood throughout. It is a heavy, close-grained hardwood that holds a finish well, and mango is often chosen as a sustainable option because the trees are harvested after their fruit-bearing years are over. Pieces in this collection are handcrafted, so small differences in finish and detail are normal and part of the charm. Turned detailing gives the piece a crafted, traditional character.
Durability and care
With normal care, solid wood furniture can last for many years, and small marks can be sanded and refinished if needed. This piece is intended for indoor use. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from heat sources to help the finish last.
Where it fits in your home
In a mudroom or porch it gives you a spot to sit while changing footwear. In a dining area it can replace chairs on one side of the table for relaxed, flexible seating. At the end of a bed it adds a place to sit while dressing and a styling surface for a folded throw or cushions. At 40 in wide and 24 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.
Styles it pairs with
Colonial, traditional and transitional interiors all suit it well. Its classic detailing blends with antiques, patterned rugs and richly coloured walls.
