The Ellington Console Table is a mango wood console table. It features drawer storage, an open shelf for quick-grab items, soft, curved lines and brass-tone accents. A console table is one of the easiest ways to make an entryway or hallway feel finished, and this one does it with solid-wood character. If you are shopping for an affordable console table or a hallway table, it is worth a closer look.
Material and build
This piece is built from 100% solid mango wood rather than veneer or particleboard. Mango is a dense hardwood known for strength and a lively grain, and the natural variations in colour and markings are part of its character. Brass-tone accents add a subtle touch of warmth and polish to the overall design. Pieces in this collection are handcrafted, so small differences in finish and detail are normal and part of the charm. Drawer storage keeps small items out of sight so the top stays clear for a lamp or decor. The open shelf is handy for books, baskets or anything you want within easy reach.
Durability and care
Solid wood is sturdy by nature and can be maintained or refinished over time, which is why it tends to outlast board-based furniture. It is designed for indoor use. Use coasters and trivets under hot or wet items, and wipe up spills promptly.
Where it fits in your home
In a bedroom or home office it can be used as a slim desk or a dressing surface. In a hallway it adds interest to an otherwise empty wall without blocking the walkway. Behind a sofa it works as a sofa table for lamps, books and plants, and it separates a seating area from the rest of an open-plan room. At 36 in wide and 31.2 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.
Styles it pairs with
Organic modern, minimalist and mid-century modern interiors all suit it well. Its soft shapes balance straight-edged sofas and beds and work well in a mix of shapes.
