Set beside the bed, it handles the everyday jobs of a bedside table: lamp, alarm clock, reading glasses and a spot to charge your phone. The Harper Ribbed Chestnut Bedside is a mango wood nightstand with a rich chestnut finish. It features drawer storage, soft, curved lines, fluted, ribbed detailing and brass-tone accents. If you are shopping for a solid wood nightstand or an affordable night stand, it is worth a closer look.
Material and build
This piece is built from 100% solid mango wood rather than veneer or particleboard. Mango is a dense hardwood known for strength and a lively grain, and the natural variations in colour and markings are part of its character. Brass-tone accents add a subtle touch of warmth and polish to the overall design. Pieces in this collection are handcrafted, so small differences in finish and detail are normal and part of the charm. Drawer storage keeps small items out of sight so the top stays clear for a lamp or decor. Soft curves mean fewer sharp corners, which is welcome in tight bedrooms and busy hallways.
Durability and care
With normal care, solid wood furniture can last for many years, and small marks can be sanded and refinished if needed. This piece is intended for indoor use. Use coasters and trivets under hot or wet items, and wipe up spills promptly.
Where it fits in your home
In the bedroom it sits comfortably beside a single, double or queen-size bed, so you can reach a lamp or a book without getting up. Use a pair on either side of the bed for a balanced, symmetrical look in a main bedroom. In a guest room it gives visitors a place for a glass of water and a phone without crowding the space. At 16.8 in wide and 22 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.
Styles it pairs with
Contemporary, mid-century modern and Scandinavian interiors all suit it well. Its soft shapes balance straight-edged sofas and beds and work well in a mix of shapes.
