The Spindle Winewood Leather Bench is a storage bench crafted from 100% solid mango wood with a winewood oak finish. It features drawer storage, an open shelf for quick-grab items and turned spindle detailing. Versatile and easy to place, a bench adds seating and styling surface to rooms where a full chair would not fit. If you are shopping for a bench entryway or an entryway bench, it is worth a closer look.
Material and build
This piece is built from 100% solid mango wood rather than veneer or particleboard. Mango is a dense hardwood known for strength and a lively grain, and the natural variations in colour and markings are part of its character. The leather elements add a tactile, lived-in contrast to the wood and develop a natural patina with use. Pieces in this collection are handcrafted, so small differences in finish and detail are normal and part of the charm. Drawer storage keeps small items out of sight so the top stays clear for a lamp or decor. The open shelf is handy for books, baskets or anything you want within easy reach.
Durability and care
Solid wood is sturdy by nature and can be maintained or refinished over time, which is why it tends to outlast board-based furniture. It is designed for indoor use. Wipe the surface with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away. For leather areas, dust with a dry cloth and condition occasionally to keep the surface supple.
Where it fits in your home
In a mudroom or porch it gives you a spot to sit while changing footwear. At the end of a bed it adds a place to sit while dressing and a styling surface for a folded throw or cushions. In an entryway or hallway it provides a spot to sit and put on shoes, with room for bags or baskets alongside. Its compact size makes it a smart pick for small apartments, condos and tight corners. At 36 in wide and 22 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.
Styles it pairs with
Eclectic, industrial and modern farmhouse interiors all suit it well. Its leather and wood combination suits dark metals, wool throws and bold, earthy colours.
