The Split Chestnut nightstand is a mango wood nightstand with a rich chestnut finish. It features 2 drawers, an open shelf for quick-grab items, soft, curved lines and brass-tone accents. A good bedside table should be useful at 11 pm and look good at 11 am, and this one is built to do both. If you are shopping for a solid wood nightstand or an affordable night stand, it is worth a closer look.
Material and build
The frame is solid mango wood throughout. It is a heavy, close-grained hardwood that holds a finish well, and mango is often chosen as a sustainable option because the trees are harvested after their fruit-bearing years are over. Brass-tone accents add a subtle touch of warmth and polish to the overall design. Drawer storage keeps small items out of sight so the top stays clear for a lamp or decor. The open shelf is handy for books, baskets or anything you want within easy reach.
Durability and care
With normal care, solid wood furniture can last for many years, and small marks can be sanded and refinished if needed. This piece is intended for indoor use. Use coasters and trivets under hot or wet items, and wipe up spills promptly.
Where it fits in your home
In a guest room it gives visitors a place for a glass of water and a phone without crowding the space. Use a pair on either side of the bed for a balanced, symmetrical look in a main bedroom. In a small apartment or studio it earns its place by adding surface and storage without a large footprint. At 16 in wide and 20.8 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.
Styles it pairs with
Scandinavian, minimalist and organic modern interiors all suit it well. Its soft shapes balance straight-edged sofas and beds and work well in a mix of shapes.
