Meet the Turned Legs 1 Drawer Chestnut Console: a mango wood chest of drawers with a rich chestnut finish. It features 1 drawer, turned spindle detailing and brass-tone accents. If you are short on wardrobe space, a chest like this gives you organised drawer storage without a built-in closet. If you are shopping for an affordable chest of drawers or a drawer chest for bedroom, it is worth a closer look.
Material and build
Solid mango wood is a dense, hard-wearing hardwood with a distinctive grain. Because it is a natural material, every piece carries its own variations in tone, grain and small natural marks, so no two are exactly alike. Brass-tone accents add a subtle touch of warmth and polish to the overall design. Pieces in this collection are handcrafted, so small differences in finish and detail are normal and part of the charm. Drawer storage keeps small items out of sight so the top stays clear for a lamp or decor. Turned detailing gives the piece a crafted, traditional character.
Durability and care
With normal care, solid wood furniture can last for many years, and small marks can be sanded and refinished if needed. This piece is intended for indoor use. Use coasters and trivets under hot or wet items, and wipe up spills promptly.
Where it fits in your home
In a guest room or spare room it provides storage for visitors and spare bedding. In a living room or dining room it can store table linens, board games and other items you want close but out of sight. In a hallway or entryway it can hold scarves, gloves, hats and bags, with the top serving as a landing spot for keys and mail. Its compact size makes it a smart pick for small apartments, condos and tight corners. At 28 in wide and 32 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.
Styles it pairs with
Colonial, vintage-inspired and heritage interiors all suit it well. Its classic detailing blends with antiques, patterned rugs and richly coloured walls.
