It gives a narrow wall a purpose, with a surface for keys, mail, a lamp and decor, and often storage below. The Albion Chestnut Console is an affordable mango wood console table with a rich chestnut finish. It features drawer storage, soft, curved lines and Nordic-style legs. If you are shopping for a console table or an affordable console table, it is worth a closer look.
Material and build
Solid mango wood is a dense, hard-wearing hardwood with a distinctive grain. Because it is a natural material, every piece carries its own variations in tone, grain and small natural marks, so no two are exactly alike. Drawer storage keeps small items out of sight so the top stays clear for a lamp or decor. Soft curves mean fewer sharp corners, which is welcome in tight bedrooms and busy hallways.
Durability and care
With normal care, solid wood furniture can last for many years, and small marks can be sanded and refinished if needed. This piece is intended for indoor use. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from heat sources to help the finish last.
Where it fits in your home
In a bedroom or home office it can be used as a slim desk or a dressing surface. In a dining room it can act as a serving surface or a place to set drinks and dishes during gatherings. In a hallway it adds interest to an otherwise empty wall without blocking the walkway. At 32 in wide and 31.2 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.
Styles it pairs with
Mid-century modern, Scandinavian and minimalist interiors all suit it well. Its soft shapes balance straight-edged sofas and beds and work well in a mix of shapes.
