Set beside the bed, it handles the everyday jobs of a bedside table: lamp, alarm clock, reading glasses and a spot to charge your phone. The Oak-ish 2 Drawer Floating nightstand is a mango wood nightstand with a warm oak-toned finish. It features a floating, wall-mounted design that keeps the floor clear, 2 drawers and soft, curved lines. If you are shopping for a floating nightstand with drawer or a solid wood nightstand, it is worth a closer look.
Material and build
This piece is built from 100% solid mango wood rather than veneer or particleboard. Mango is a dense hardwood known for strength and a lively grain, and the natural variations in colour and markings are part of its character. Because it floats off the floor, you can vacuum underneath and the room feels more open. Drawer storage keeps small items out of sight so the top stays clear for a lamp or decor.
Durability and care
With normal care, solid wood furniture can last for many years, and small marks can be sanded and refinished if needed. This piece is intended for indoor use. Use coasters and trivets under hot or wet items, and wipe up spills promptly.
Where it fits in your home
In the bedroom it sits comfortably beside a single, double or queen-size bed, so you can reach a lamp or a book without getting up. In a guest room it gives visitors a place for a glass of water and a phone without crowding the space. Next to a daybed, armchair or reading corner it doubles as a compact side table for a cup of tea and a book. Mounted on the wall, it frees up floor space, makes cleaning underneath easy and helps smaller rooms feel more open. At 18 in wide and 10 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.
Styles it pairs with
Mid-century modern, contemporary and Scandinavian interiors all suit it well. Its soft shapes balance straight-edged sofas and beds and work well in a mix of shapes.
