A stool is one of the most flexible small pieces you can own: an extra seat, a plant stand or a side table when you need it. The Rustic Charm Stool is an affordable accent stool crafted from 100% solid mango wood. It features turned spindle detailing and brass-tone accents. If you are shopping for a footstool or a wood stool, it is worth a closer look.
Material and build
Solid mango wood is a dense, hard-wearing hardwood with a distinctive grain. Because it is a natural material, every piece carries its own variations in tone, grain and small natural marks, so no two are exactly alike. The leather elements add a tactile, lived-in contrast to the wood and develop a natural patina with use. Brass-tone accents add a subtle touch of warmth and polish to the overall design. Pieces in this collection are handcrafted, so small differences in finish and detail are normal and part of the charm. Turned detailing gives the piece a crafted, traditional character. Brass-tone accents add a touch of warmth that works with many hardware finishes.
Durability and care
With normal care, solid wood furniture can last for many years, and small marks can be sanded and refinished if needed. This piece is intended for indoor use. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from heat sources to help the finish last. For leather areas, dust with a dry cloth and condition occasionally to keep the surface supple.
Where it fits in your home
In a hallway it gives you a place to sit while putting on shoes. In a bedroom or dressing area it provides a small seat beside a vanity or at the foot of the bed. Used as a plant stand or display table, it brings a little height and interest to a corner. At 16 in wide and 22 in tall, it is a sensible size for most standard rooms.
Styles it pairs with
Eclectic, modern farmhouse and rustic interiors all suit it well. Its leather and wood combination suits dark metals, wool throws and bold, earthy colours.
